My dearest Friend, Our mutual and noble friend John Nordmann is no longer among the living. He was operated on at the Wiedner Hospital in Vienna and there he died suddenly and unexpectedly. His death caused deep sorrow in all Austria and Germany, for he was not only a writer but also an esteemed and beloved man. With the cordial greetings of my whole family. | |
