Dear Friend, We arrived after a trip in rather bad weather. I have lost the address of the professor who is preparing the dictionary, but I don't mind the loss because we are leaving tomorrow afternoon. We are taking the shortest route to Basel where we are expecting letters from our homeland. We have not received news from home for more than twenty days. Please pardon me if this letter has neither order nor ideas, for I am writing it while traveling. From Geneva I will write you my travel impressions. Goodbye and greetings to your esteemed family from me. An embrace from
